what he said, with phenolic ringwork, joint collars and buttcap and wrapless … would make a nice basic cue in my opinion.

Hi Bryan,
I bought one of your Beautiful Birdseye Maple cues Years Ago with 2 Shafts. And that Birdseye Maple cue is one hell of a Players cue…
A very close friend of my wanted your cue, so I sold it to him, which I regreted…
I like the “Larger diameter” that you use to have in your old cues. And I like the 3/8 X 11 Pin that you Use then… “I Feel, it is Way Better” than the 3/8 X 10 Pin that you are using today….
I ordered 2 cues from you lately when you were having a special, for 800.00 plus 100.00 for leather wrap…
When I got the cues that you made for me, I was really Happy ! It was Beautiful …
But you installed a 3/8 X 10 pin, instead of a 3/8 X 11 Pin which I really Wanted.
The hit of your New Cues with the 3/8 X 10 Jointed pin is “Way Softer” that —- the 3/8 X 11 Jointed Pin…
So, I’m struggling what to do with the 2 New Cues that I bought from you…
I spoke to my close friend who bought my Old Bryan Mordt’s Birdseye Maple cue… And I wanted to trade my New Bryan Mordt’s to him…
I Use to be one of the top players here in CA, so I love having
a good solid playing cue And a Beautiful Cue…
I still like your old cues Bryan, they are ” Way Better ” with the 3/8 X 11 Pin, thank your New cues with a 3/8 X 10 Pin today Bryan… ( My Opinion )
Don’t Get me Wrong Bryan, You Make Beautiful playing cues… And you are One hell of a Guy ( Really Nice Guy:)
But I like your Old Cues, with a 3/8 X 11 Pin. They are “Way Better” in Perfermance as a Playing cue..
I hope you go back in using your 3/8 X 11 Pins…
Thank you for making Beautiful cues and All your Kindness Bryan… You’re one hell of a guy…
Bryan…I have always admired your integrity and profound determination to build the best possible cue. I might just put in an order for one of your new sneaky petes. In as much as you are asking for input; as you know from our previous correspondence, I am all for the greatest possible simplicity vis a vis design (Porsche, Leica, old stainless Rolexes, Brooks Brothers, Apple etc). Your cue making and craft level is so high you could probably make a pretty good cue out of an old broomstick. What I would love to have is a “real” sneaky pete made by you; one without a phenolic joint; a stick which would however, have beautiful wood in the butt and at most a modest ring above the rubber, but otherwise a stick of perfect balance, loving craftsmanship and absolute simplicity. Perhaps it is just my low self esteem but I think there might be other folks out there who would love having a truly professional quality stick without attracting any attention to it. Then again, I am always traveling and playing in weird places so…Sometimes, I am tempted to buy one of your sticks just as an investment! Ciao, Arthur
HOW ABOUT A SNEAKY PETE WITH LOTS OF FIGURE, HIGHLY FIGURED USING BIRDSEYE OR CURLY MAPLE AND COCOBOLO.
I MEAN REALLY FIGURED TOP QUALITY WOODS.
