I was very lucky to find some exceptionally nice pieces of this wood today. There is no substitute for being able to hand pick. I am really anxious to use some this stuff.

Nice wood Bryan, what type is it?
sorry, didn’t read the heading! Will that be cored or left as solid rounds?
I will be coring these pieces for added stability.
What are the dimensions of those pieces? It looks like you could get more than just forearms and butt sleeves, maybe a few points as well. Do you plan to make plain janes with rail packs?
They are 1.75″ x 1.75″ x 10.5″. I may be able to use them for a front but I would have to use a one inch joint with collars. I intended to use them for points, 3 section handles, and backs. The first cues using this wood will be ready early 2010.
Good pieces,
I should contact with your supplier¡¡¡¡¡
I have a few extra pieces if your interested at $20 each.
